This photograph is part of the “East to West” series, which was created during a hasty walk from Alexanderplatz / formerly East Berlin to Ku-Damm / formerly West Berlin. This building was built near the wall line. Like all the pictures in the series, this photograph was taken in high contrast in order to eliminate the contrast between the districts that still exist 20 years after the reunification of Berlin. In addition, the colors of the Federal Republic of Germany came to the fore in this way.
Dieter Hanf works with all image formats and masters analog and digital photography and image processing. His experimental photography has gained international attention and has been shown in Lisbon, Berlin, Paris, Zurich and Barcelona, among others.
